you register your birth after years of birth?
When your parents/guardians skip registering your birth, it
is termed as the unregistered birth. However, the government registers it free
of cost if it is done within 21 days of the birth. But afterwards, this free
service is converted into chargeable.
India is divided into urban and rural regions. Therefore,
the competent authority that registers unregistered birth also differs. In
rural regions, the vaccination centre occupies this duty, whereas the Municipal
Corporation (MC) takes charge of this service in the urban regions.
The birth can be held in various circumstances. Therefore,
it becomes a challenge to determine where to file the application of the NABC. It can be easily determined. The birth
occurred in the vehicle will be registered at the MC office of the place where
that vehicle stopped for the first time. But it occurred at home, the nearby
vaccination centre/ MC office would be the competent authority to apply.
Today, it’s really like a piece of pie to apply for the NABC
online. You can visit the district’s MC website on the internet. Fill the
application of ‘the Issuance of Delayed Birth Order’. If it’s not there, you
can download the affidavit. Get it filled following the direction mentioned in
the inforgraphic. Notarize it and then, submit it with the scanned supporting
documents. The payment can be made online.
Police may verify if you’re an NRI. Your passport, visa or job would be
verified.
